Data
Use Fund Operations → Fund Overview → Data to inspect and, where permitted, maintain the fund's source records. Its four sections are Entities → Share Classes → Subscriptions → Investments. Inspect dated subscription and investment events in their owning apps.
Choose the scope
Check Entity first; the app may initialize a selection automatically. Add Share Class when you want that class's subscriptions and allocated investments. Changing scope can change dependent options, so recheck both selectors.
The Entities table follows the Entity selection. Subscriptions are selected through their receiving share class and entity. Investments are found through positive share-class allocation entries; the table still shows the investment's source record, not values prorated by that allocation.
Data does not apply an As of Date cutoff. A date retained from another tab does not turn these source records into historical balances. Use Performance or the relevant dated report for historical economics.
Read the source relationships
A fund Entity can have several Share Classes. A subscription connects its subscriber to one receiving class; an investment enters the selected population through class allocation relationships. These are source records describing the participants and positions. Their dated calls, contributions and valuations are separate activity records, so a contractual commitment field is not a running funded balance.
The fictional example below shows the source records, then points to their separate event histories.
Fictional example: Cedarbridge Example Fund LP (Entity #1), with no Share Class selection. The first two sections show its entity and Class A source records.
- Open Fund Overview → Data and choose Cedarbridge Example Fund LP.
- Leave Share Class unselected to inspect the entity's full source population.
- Inspect Entity #1 and Share Class #1, Cedarbridge Example Fund LP — Class A.
- Continue down to Subscriptions and Investments. Subscription #1, Cedarbridge Core Subscription, connects legal subscriber Cedarbridge Example Holdings Ltd to Class A and records a USD 100,000 contractual commitment. The legal subscriber, investor profile, fund entity and share class are distinct records.
The same entity and class scope, scrolled to Subscriptions and Investments. Harbor Example Software is the investment master record.
The subscription's Commitment Amount is a contractual/onboarding value, not its running funded balance. To inspect contribution #3 and its capital-call notice #2, open Activity or Record Explorer. For Harbor Example Software's contribution #2 and capital-call notice #1, use Activity or Record Explorer. Their absence from Fund Overview → Data is intentional.
Use and maintain the tables
Collapse unrelated sections and use each table's Search, Filter, Sort and Hide fields controls. Table controls affect that table; the selectors above scope the page's datasets. Expand a column header group for secondary fields, such as subscription commitment currency and effective date.
Inspect reference chips and verify the table and ID before editing. Where role and row-lock state permit, use the native cell editor or Insert control. Do not assume an Entity filter fills every required relationship on a new record.
A source edit can affect other apps. Refresh the affected view and the relevant FundOps Recon or Cash Recon check. Saving or selecting a source record does not settle cash, post a journal or close a period. Totals from different source tables are not a combined cash-flow or NAV calculation; compare their meanings and currencies first.
