Transfers
Use Cash & Treasury → Cash → Transfers to inspect internal movements between the fund's own cash accounts and the linked outflow/inflow legs.
This concerns cash-account transfers, not transfers of investor subscription interests. The page reviews existing records; it contains no transfer execution form. A transfer between two fund accounts is represented by one transfer header and linked outflow/inflow cash legs. If only the outflow has been recorded, the transfer still needs its inflow investigation; two account legs do not create two fund contributions.
Start with Entity and date
Choose Entity and As of Date. Entity follows the transfer header. Account and Date Range filters from Data do not scope this page.
Fictional Cedarbridge Entity #1 through August 31, 2026: no transfer records are displayed. Gross Volume, In Transit and Exceptions are zero. This image illustrates an empty transfer view.
No results means no included transfer records under this scope and table filters. It is not proof that an external bank transfer completed. Canceled transfers are excluded, and required Entity/account relationships must resolve.
The row's Date uses Settled Date first, then Expected Settlement, Requested Date and available cash-leg dates. It is not always the actual settlement date. A future-priority date can exclude a header even if a leg already exists; wholly undated transfers are also excluded.
Read a populated transfer pair
An internal transfer changes where the fund’s cash is held. Its source account records an outflow and its destination records an inflow. Those legs represent the two sides of one intended movement, so their gross amounts are compared with the header rather than added as two fund contributions.
A header with only one principal side remains a one-sided trail even if its stored workflow status sounds complete. Several split links can supply a side, so inspect the full leg rollup before concluding that a representative split reference is the whole transfer.
When records exist, the table has one row per transfer, rather than one row per cash leg. Keep the computed Status / Issue separate from the stored Transfer Status.
The Outflow and Inflow column groups retain account, amount, date and split references when collapsed. Expand them for owner type and owner reference. These are column groups, not expandable transfer-child rows.
The totals use linked principal outflow and inflow splits on non-reversed transactions through the cutoff. A stored outflow/inflow role identifies the leg first. Where no role is recorded, the account direction is used; same-account transfers use the split's sign. Each leg uses the absolute Allocated Amount, or the split amount when the allocation is blank.
Multiple legs can contribute to the sums. Displayed split/account/owner references are representatives of the rollup, not every linked record. Inspect all underlying links when investigating a multi-leg transfer.
Interpret the calculated Status
Calculated status identifies what is missing from the pair. No legs means no linked cash trail; one side means the opposite account movement still needs investigation; inconsistent amounts or accounts indicate a broken pair; missing or different owners require ownership review. Complete resolves these configured pair checks and leaves execution, bank clearance and accounting to their own evidence.
- Unlinked: neither principal side is found.
- In transit: one principal side is missing.
- Broken pair: the configured amount, account or Entity checks fail.
- Owner break: owner information is missing or the compared owners differ.
- Complete: these configured pair/owner checks pass.
Issue gives the first applicable reason. With both legs present, an absolute difference greater than or equal to 0.01 against the transfer amount is an Amount Mismatch. An exact one-cent difference is flagged here; do not assume every reconciliation uses the same tolerance.
Complete does not prove approval, bank execution/clearance, currency consistency or GL posting. The representative owner/account checks are not exhaustive validation of every member of a multi-leg group. Stored Transfer Status must be read independently.
Read the totals without doubling the movement
Gross Volume sums each included transfer header amount once. In Transit sums the full header amount for one-sided transfers; it is not a computed unsettled remainder. Exceptions counts included transfers whose calculated Status is not Complete.
For example, a hypothetical USD10,000 header with only an outflow would be In transit, with USD10,000 counted as In Transit. This is an interpretation example, not a transfer shown or executed in the screenshot.
The cards do not convert currencies. Do not add mixed-currency dollar figures as if converted, or add outflow and inflow as two new economic contributions.
Investigate at the source
Use transfer, account and split references when rows exist. Trace each cash split in Transaction Explorer, then inspect the transfer relationship, principal role, allocated amount and owner. Compare them with genuine transfer and bank evidence before correcting a record.
Use the authorized cash-transfer workflow for approval/execution and Cash Recon → Transfers Recon for control review. Do not duplicate a cash leg or manually change a workflow status merely to force Complete. Refresh in the same scope after an authorized correction.
The table is read-only with row selection disabled. It does not send funds, approve a transfer or post a journal.
For a multi-leg transfer, inspect all cash-split links before concluding that an apparent missing leg is absent. Continue to Transfers Recon for its separate amount, account and currency checks.
