Account Transactions to Feed Recon
Use Cash & Treasury → Cash Recon → Account Transactions to Feed Recon to ask: does each system account transaction have the appropriate bank/broker feed support?
This is the reverse perspective of Activity Feed Recon. It shows one row per Account Transaction, not one row per feed item or link. The two checks can have different row counts when one transaction relates to several feed items, or vice versa.
Read amounts and status
Difference = Linked Feed Amount − Transaction Amount. Linked Feed Amount sums the allocations on Account Transaction Links. A blank allocation can fall back to the feed's full amount only for a true one-to-one relationship. Multiple links at either endpoint require explicit allocations.
- Unmatched: a valid nonzero transaction has no feed link.
- Invalid: the amount or an existing relationship cannot support a valid comparison. Recon Issue can identify a missing feed/amount, zero amount, ignored linked feed, missing allocation, or account/currency mismatch. It shows the first detected issue.
- Mismatched: the links pass validation but their signed total differs.
- Matched: this transaction-to-feed comparison passes; it does not establish correct business settlement or accounting.
The absolute Difference must be below 0.000001 to match. Do not apply a one-cent tolerance or rely solely on a rounded 0.00 display. Read Currency with the amounts; there is no FX conversion. Do not add the Feed Recon and Transaction Recon populations as if they were separate cash movements.
Set scope and identify the exception
Select Entity and As of Date. Entity follows the transaction's legal account. The cutoff includes transactions whose Date is on or before the selected date. Use the table's Filter for Account, currency or Recon Issue. Account, Year and Accounting Period selections on other tabs do not scope this check.
The default table filter is Recon Status — Not equals — Matched. To inspect successful comparisons, remove that condition and choose Apply Filters; restore it to return to exceptions.
Fictional Cedarbridge Onboarding Practice LP #2, October 21, 2026: transactions #6 +USD80, #5 +USD400 and #4 +USD250 are Unmatched, each with Missing Activity Feed Link. Their Linked Feed Amount is 0 and their Differences are −80, −400 and −250.
These receipts were entered without bank-feed records. Their income links and complete split amounts do not provide that missing bank evidence. Investigate the actual feed or statement before creating a feed record or changing a link.
Follow a transaction into the Explorer
A transaction can have a complete split and a valid income association while still lacking bank evidence. The business relationship explains what the receipt is for; the feed relationship supports the recorded cash movement. Following both paths isolates the missing dependency without creating another receipt or altering a valid business source.
Scroll horizontally to Explorer and choose Open explorer. The link is available for eligible non-reversed transactions with splits. Without eligible splits, investigate through the transaction's direct reference instead.
For transaction #5, Open explorer shows Cash Split #5 for USD400, linked to Income #2 for USD400. The existing business association explains what the receipt is for.
Now inspect the evidence around it. Feed shows No linked bank/broker feed record — Missing feed. Accounting shows No journal linked to this split or its activities — Missing journal. The transaction, split and income exist; their presence does not fill either missing stage.
The parent's Linked label describes a business relationship. The transaction's stored Posted status is not evidence of a posted GL journal. The missing Feed and Accounting stages still matter. Parent cash splits count once; do not add stage/context amounts to the parent total.
Use the Transaction Explorer guide for the shared grid's full behavior.
Inspect and correct the right relationship
Cmd/Ctrl-click Account Transaction ID to open the source record. In this example, #5 opens Account Transactions filtered to ID 5. Check its account, dates, amount, currency, memo and supporting evidence before changing anything.
Linked Feed Items opens Activity Feed Recon. Retain this transaction's ID and the actual linked feed IDs before following the shortcut. At the destination, locate those feed IDs and check the active filters; the displayed page should not be treated as a transaction-specific list without that check. Matched items can be hidden. A single Feed/Transaction Link reference appears only when exactly one link exists; inspect multiple relationships individually.
Account Transaction Links connect feeds to transactions. Cash Split Links connect splits to incomes, expenses or capital activities. Repairing an income association cannot resolve Missing Activity Feed Link.
Confirm feed ingestion/completeness first, then review all actual endpoint IDs, legal account, currency, signs and allocations in the authorized source workflow. Do not duplicate the bank movement, replace factual amounts, or create full-value links for every leg of a many-to-many match. Refresh and recheck both feed perspectives after any approved correction.
This table is read-only with row selection for context. It does not execute matching, payment, posting, locks or sign-off.
Keep historical scope in perspective
As of Date filters the parent transaction date. Linked feed values and relationships are current and do not receive an independent counterpart-date cutoff. Reversed transactions remain eligible here, while Explorer links exclude reversed transactions. Treat this as a current-link check of transactions through the chosen date, not an immutable historical snapshot.
Transaction #5 is Unmatched here because it lacks feed support, even though its USD400 split is complete and linked to Income #2. Changing the income link or the transaction's stored Posted status does not supply the missing bank evidence.
