FundOps Recon
Fund Operations → FundOps Recon
Use FundOps Recon when the operating records do not yet tell a consistent story: a notice has no related activity, an activity has no cash link, participation is incomplete, or required evidence is missing.
When to use this app
An operating event can be complete in one respect and incomplete in another. A contribution can refer to its capital call and agree in amount, while the call lacks its supporting file. The cash link can exist while its allocation is wrong. The controls isolate these questions so that the failed comparison identifies the kind of record or relationship to inspect.
A reconciliation result is evidence about the rule being tested. It becomes useful when you can name the two facts that should agree, the population actually examined and the reason they differ. The dashboard locates the control; its detail explains the failed comparison.
Start with the dashboard to identify the affected control, then open that check with the same Entity and date. Read its issue before changing a record. A notice/activity difference belongs to the operating event; a cash-link problem needs the settlement trail. After correcting the evidenced source or relationship, refresh the same check and return to the dashboard.
Understand the records
Population matters because a check can only find problems in records it returns. A control starting from notices cannot discover every missing notice; one starting from cash-moving activities does not include commitment-only records. A clear result means no exceptions were found in that control’s eligible population. Review missing records in the app that owns them before treating a zero count as completeness.
Each check examines a particular set of records and reports its own kinds of exceptions. Compare a dashboard count with its detail tab using the same filters.
Current limitations
Activity → Cash currently has a date-filter limitation when Entity is selected, and its matched amounts use current links. Read that tab's warning before using it for historical settlement review.
For dashboard drilldowns, use Recon Exceptions cards or the native tabs and confirm the destination scope. The Control Summary table links can pass incorrect Entity/date values.
In Investment Notices Recon and Subscription Notices Recon, the Related Activities count shortcut currently opens the wrong tab and can reset the date. Use the originating Activity ledger and the guide's record-tracing instructions.
